As Christian Parents, it should be one of our top priorities to remind our kids about who they truly are and who they belong to on a regular basis (in-fact on a DAILY basis). The power of knowing who we are in Christ cannot be over- emphasized. It determines how we carry ourselves, relate with other people and generally how you navigate through life. This applies to our children too! They need to keep in mind the fact that they Belong to God! The creator of the Universe! The ever loving and Kind God at all times. It will help inform how they handle different situations that come their way.
So the question is How? How do we get this message across in addition to saying affirmations?
The answer is – Music and Songs!
Music(Songs) is another powerful tool we can use! For us @inlushmeadowkids, we believe in getting the message across to our kids about their Priestly and Kingly Identity in a fun, Colourful and exciting way and that includes Songs.
Research has proven over and over that Music is one of the fastest ways to get children to learn things quickly! Have you noticed how there are so many rhymes and songs used to teach kids a variety of skills alphabet, Numbers, Shapes and more e.g – Wheels on bus go round and round, Old MacDonald Had a Farm etc etc,
While singing, children unconsciously learn and acquire so many skills. The message also sticks faster! If it is that powerful, we should also adopt it to instill core values and teach them about the the basic elements of our Christian faith – Including our Identity in Christ!

Play them at Bed Time, When in Transit (in the Car) or as the background song all day everyday in your home and watch your kids pick the song and the message…
It could also be part of the daily routine to listen to a song first thing in the morning or last thing as your kids wrap up the day. I personally try to play music in the morning when getting my son ready for school and it helps to get everyone into a calm mood instead of grumpy mornings associated with getting ready for school.
