You need to read this IF You’re a Mom and you have Reading Books as your Goal this year!

1. Buy Books that are tailored to areas you really need information and knowledge or Books that address the specific season you’re in at the moment – This strategy helps to ignite the drive to read because it will speak to an area where you are lacking in Wisdom or insight. Your mind will figure out a way to read the Books because you actually need the information. Like they say there is always time for anything that is important to you.
2. Audiobooks – This is a great option if you’ve got great listening ear or a thing for listening to music then listening to a book might interest you. The great thing about this is your kids can also just be quiet and listen with you or you can listen while also driving, doing chores all around the house. If your kids are listening with you, Just rebrand it and call it – Listening to a Book Time or Quiet Time with Books. To make it even more interesting, get them Podcast shows for kids they can listen to so everyone is busy actively listening to something.

*This is not for me because I can get lost in my train of thoughts.
3. Train or Bus Ride Reading – This is one of my go to ways to read a Book. There is something about just being in your world with a Book on a Train Ride or a Bus ride. So Hop on a train even if you’re not going anywhere in particular and bury your head In your Book. Don’t worry your kids will be fine in those 60 to 90 minutes you step out. I recommend this if you live in an area where the transportation system works. Also make sure to inform your support system ahead.
4. E-Books – Become a Mobile reader. Use every opportunity to read a Book using several E Book Platforms e.g Audible
5. Block out time to Read or hours during the week when your kids are in Bed or Declare a day of Sabbath & Grab a Book! Can you negotiate with your partner or a baby sitter to look after your kids on your Sabbath day? If yes, that might be a good time to grab your book and a cup of Juice. You can also visit your local Library or find a Quiet Cafe to visit on weekends for at least 1 Hour.
Enjoy!
