Hello Teacher,
Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your holiday? Hope you refuel your energy because my kids are about to burn it all to the last calorie.
Be Intentional – As you welcome those leaders of tomorrow into your class, remember that you have so much influence over them. They will not forget how you speak to them, how you dress, how you explained in a way they could understand. I still remember my own teachers- Mrs. Ronke and Mrs Ogunmola from my Nursery class, Uncle Godwin from Primary 6. So trust me those kids won’t forget in a hurry. Be intentional about all you do with the little ones that come into your class.
Train & Equip Them in Love – Mould them with Love and a firmness that makes them become better than they walked into your class. Speak to them kindly. Let them know how much you believe in them. Yes they will test your patience but please don’t take out the entirety of your frustration on them. Your words can make or mar them. Pray for them, speak over them. Establish class boundaries and make room for them to express themselves.
Honour the Trust of Parents – Remember that the Parents of these children took a huge risk to put their priced possession in your care. Don’t look away when it matters most. Don’t say “They are not my children”. Let it be on record that you at least did your best.
Morolake O.
Remember – You are moulding tomorrow today and your work is important not just to parents but also to God. For Jesus said – Don’t stop children from coming to me. Each of those kids have angels and they will be watching even if their parents won’t be there.
Thank you for the work you do.
Wishing you a Beautiful Term.
With Love,
A Co-Labourer with you, Moulding Tomorrow Today.
Morolake.
