Hello Moms, Easter is about JESUS! It’s such an important part of our lives as Christians and our children should know about it. The story of Easter can be summarised this way – Jesus Died for our since and he rose again after 3 Days! In this article I share Books that can help you talk to your kids about Easter in a fun, colourful and exciting Way! So let’s get right into it!
Where to Begin ….
In case you’re wondering how to explain the concept of Easter to your kids, well I have good news for you! I have put together some Books and resources that can help you do just that without stress. So let’s start with the most important one.
The first Point of Call is:
THE BIBLE – Open it and read it aloud to your kids. That’s all! The word of God is powerful. Sharper than any double-edged sword.

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts. Hebrews 4:12 TPT”
Keep reading it aloud to them. If they can read, that would be fantastic. Let them take turns reading the story in the build-up to Easter.
Where can you find it? You can check – Matthew 21 all through to Matthew 28. One chapter a day and you’ll be good.

For Visual Learners
Children learn through a variety of ways. While I advocate for children to learn to read Books, we must understand our children and use the learning strategies that work best for them. So if you’ve got a child who learns better with visuals, reading and seeing images, remembers things by sight or songs etc, then I recommend the following YouTube Channels. The first is my A++ for now because of the very creative and colourful way the story of Easter is told.
Gomino – The cartoons are so beautifully done. They also tell the Easter story so beautifully. Click Here
Bible Adventure – Of course, they do a great Job with their story telling. This is for much younger children (maybe toddlers). You can click Here to watch
Super Book – This is for kids who like a lot of action. My toddler isn’t quite comfortable watching it yet but older kids will definitely find this useful. Click here to watch

These easy-to-lead devotions start by looking at Genesis and take us through the Old Testament to see how Easter was always part of God’s amazing plan for his people.

✅A very Happy Easter – Bold, colourful, easy to read to kids and laced with a fun read-along activity best describes this Book!.
As you read to the kids, the kids are asked to act out the different faces of the major characters in the Easter Story. From excited🤩, to scared 😱😟, Confused, to Astonished amazed, your kids will be fully engaged all through the story. It’s a Book that would keep toddlers engaged for and make them sit still for a while because they get to participate and have a sense of how the disciples must have felt when their best friend Jesus was arrested and taken to the cross.
