I know first hand talking about the death of someone is a difficult topic. Now having that conversation with kids is a different ball game entirely. It’s a really tough conversation. So here’s what I did, I went out in search of a Bible Based Book that can help make this conversation a lot easier!
When I got this Book from @thegoodbookcompanyuk I wasn’t sure how to share the concept of this book with you. Until a mom on Instagram posted how her son kept crying inconsolably when she told him about what happenes when people die. I felt for both mother and child and from that time I started searching for a book to help parents communicate the concept of Heaven or what happens after we die in a way that doesn’t really make anyone cry or become sad! At least that doesn’t make kids sad.
Then – Boom ! I remembered this Book! – The Awesome Super Fantastic Forever Party! I was so excited! It just clicked! That’s the Book you need!
Now we can talk about heaven with no tears! It’s a Forever Party affair! Whoop! Whoop!
This Book was written by Joni Eareckson Tada remember her? The woman that lost her ability to walk from neck down but has continued to live a colourful beautiful life? Yes! That same Joni! She wrote this Book! And anything from her, I will buy over and over and over again! Now this Book doesn’t expressly talk about death, it instead focuses on what happens after. More like no point crying over spilled milk. The destination after death is what truly matters and that’s where the conversation begins….
Let’s start here:
