Truly! Things Happen when Women Pray!

Lessons from Praying for our Kids for just 30 Minutes every working day of the week!

The Highlight of my July was helping my son learn a new scripture then praying it into his life and future along with some women! It was such a refreshing time!

The strategy we adopted is called Project IFP

  • Identify a scripture based on a current need or challenge in your child’s life Or identify a scripture based on the Values you want to teach your child
  • Find creative ways to teach them in a fun, colourful and exciting way.
  • Pray it in! Daily for just 30 Minutes

Through this short time we spent together God reminded us and taught us so much. Here are some

  1. We are not Parenting Alone! You have backing! The one who sent you on this errand of parenting has your back and he’s looking out for you. Anytime you feel alone, stressed on this journey of parenting refer to the song by Victoria Orenze – I get Backing
  2. Praying God’s word back to him is the fastest way to get results. Hold God by his word over your children.
  3. If you don’t know what to pray or how to pray, identify a scripture that addresses that thing in your child’s life and build a circle around it in prayers.
  4. When teaching kids scriptures, think Quality over Quantity. Teaching God’s word to kids should be fun and without undue pressure. There is no competition about how many scriptures your child can learn. Instead it should be about getting the scripture into your child’s spirit so much so many months down the line, they can easily say it without even thinking twice. This is why we used a full month going over the scriptures again and again. Of Course children are different so just be sure your child has fully grasped the meaning, word, content, context of the scripture before jumping to the next one.
  5. There is still a Remnant! This is a move! God’s Move! Giants are still being slain. Mountains are still being moved. It is possible to raise children who love God and honour him. There is still a 7,000 remnant. Don’t let the media fool you. Focus on sowing seeds into the future of your child. Shut down the noise of social media and bury your head in the work of parenting. With God on our side, we shall prevail!
  6. When praying using scriptures, use different translations of the Bible. Open a dictionary if possible to understand the meaning of the words. You’ll be shocked at the profound things you will find and you can then apply it in the place of prayer.
  7. Information is the KEY to Intercession. As the mother of your child you have access to information about this child. The teachers and nanny may know the child but YOU KNOW this child. You’ve known this child while you carried the child in the womb of your heart or Spirit. You carried this child for 9 months. You know things nobody knows. You have information. Use that information about your child in prayers. Use the access you have to your child in prayers because information is the key to intercession.
  8. It is Impossible to accomplish nothing in Prayer. For every moment you are praying you are changing, for every moment you are praying you are growing. There is not a wasted moment in prayer.

Here’s a list of some of our anchor songs that you can continue to play
